2001-2002 : diplôme d'études approfondies (DEA) en sciences mathématiques, Université catholique de Louvain; thesis : « Catégories enrichies dans une base munie d'un système de factorisation ».
2002-2008 : doctorat en sciences mathématiques, Université catholique de Louvain; PhD thesis under the supervision of Enrico Vitale defended on 30 June 2008 : « Catégories abéliennes en dimension 2 ».
